Do vậy cấu trúc động từ sau chủ ngữ 2 phải là nguyên thể bỏ Subject1 + Would rather that + Subject2 + bare infinitive

Động từ sau chủ ngữ 2 sẽ chia ở Simple past, động từ to be sẽ phải đ•ợc chia thành Were ở tất cả các ngôi - Công thức 2 Subject1 + would rather that + Subject2 + Simple past 3. Điều kiện không thể thực hiện đ•ợc trong quá khứ ( Nghĩa của câu là trái với thực tế.) Trong loại câu này động từ ở mệnh đề thứ 2 sẽ phải đ•ợc chia ở Past perfect - Công thức 1.
